Triple Herb Grill Brush
Give your Dad something he’ll always remember because it was made by you. Follow three simple steps and you can have the perfect gift for grilling. Rosemary, Thyme & Oregano are a terrific fresh herb combination for a grill brush. The herb aromas and flavors will impart any cut of beef, fish chicken or pork. Dipped in melted butter and brushed on corn and other vegetables is soooo good! Or dip it in olive oil and brush over meats before placing on the grill. Continue to brush every 2 minutes or so until food is cooked. He’s gonna love you for this one!
Here’s what you’ll need to make a Fresh Herb Grill Brush:
kitchen twine, about 12-16 inches in length
5 stems of fresh Rosemary
10-12 stems of fresh Thyme, any variety will work
5-8 stems of fresh Oregano, Greek variety is the most savory & most readily available
In your hand, bundle the herbs, leaves & stems, to form a bunch. Wrap the twine about an inch up from the base. Wrap several times. Tie a tight knot to secure. You’ll want to make this within a few hours of presenting as the herbs will start to wilt. Be sure to keep inside where it’s cool and out of the sun once made. *** If you can’t find this combination of fresh herbs, the best alternate options are Sage, Chives, Bay Leaves, Lavender, Summer Savory.
